| Comments or Questions | I am a seasoned educator and I own property which is uniquely situated adjacent to the Hiram Fox Wildlife Conservation acreage whose mission it is to provide the opportunity for "long-term research and/or monitoring projects that contribute substantially to ornithology, bird conservation, and/or education." I wish to open an education center on my 230+ year old five acre farm property - once a stagecoach inn and tavern (in the barn on the site) - creating an off-the-grid center for educating the public and promoting awareness of the value of natural resources; (water, night sky, wildlife and habitat). My plan is to eventually offer field experiences and classes for school and other interested groups, and year round trail access with markers noting wildlife and historic points of interest for hiking and cross country skiing, and snowshoeing, and construct a walking trail near the wetland habitat on my property for beaver, amphibian and water fowl habitat viewing. |
