Jenny is a composer for theater, but is currently disabled. She recently started a business making artfully painted macaroons.

She is currently utilizing the kitchen at the Goldenrod Inn, but is seeking other commercial kitchen options. Reaching out to Dave to see the status of the former Cummington elementary school kitchen.

Cooperate Structure: Jenny's husband has a "C- corp"- and will likely put her business under a C corp. She has an accountant that does their business taxes for their other businesses.  Gave her Emily Smith Lee's packet on business entities.

Customers: Jenny has a friend that has a high end hotel who will utilize her macaroons at her in. Jenny's macaroon's are hand painted and/ or airbrushed. Her market is high end hotels/ B and B's, weddings, bar mitzvas. etc.

Discussed with Jenny to utilize her logo on her box for presentation, ant to have a sticker on the bottom that has her business name and website.

Referred Jenny to the Franklin county CDC to discuss the intricacies of her particular product as it relates to rule and regulations (re: HASSAP plan, labeling, ect)

Jenny has a logo that a friend designed for her. She has a friend in NY city that does high end marketing that is working with her to help refine her business name.

Referred her to "Live plan" to look into writing a business plan

To date she has only marketed her product to friends and family. She is hesitant to sell outside of that market until she has liability insurance.

Referred her to the MGCC website to keep an eye out for grants for small businesses.

Jenny's macaroons are heavenly.
