Met with Evelyn and her husband Dean Kent to discuss their various business ventures and possible grant funding through the MGCC grants or other sources.

Evelyn and her husband Kent run Running Fox Farm. She has worked teaching and training in the Equine world for 20 years. Running fox farm also has blueberries: Pick your own, and jams and jellies. Kent is an artist that works wit glass etchings.

They also run "Safe for Life" pet center- a home for Trust fund dogs who's owners can no longer care for them (in assisted living passed away)

Lastly, Evelyn started a medical billing business, which is able to sustain and fill in income gaps. The Medical billing business was especially useful when Eveyln was laid up for many months last year with a broken leg.

Evelyn and Dean are looking for funding to add a new dimension to her equine pursuits relative to Running fox farm, ultimately transitioning to the new property they own: a 14 acre property on Kinne Brook Road in Worthington.

Evelyn would like to develop an Equine Assisted Therapy program on this property. She envisions a space where clinicians can take clients to "walk and talk" or to engage with horses or ponies.

They are seeking funds for construction on the Kinne Brook Property, as they plan on converting an existing dilapidated house on the property to a barn/ stables. They also would like to create one or more gazebos around the property.

Additionally, They are seeking funding to build pens and other dog related facilities for the "Safe for life pet Center".

Evelyn would also like assistance creating a "loop trail" on the property.

I am forwarding this information to Dee, to see if they could be eligible to apply for the Biz-m-power grant. Evelyn has been very successful in crowdfunding in the past, and has a significant Facebook following for her farm. She is anxious to get started with the fundraising campaign.

I am also forwarding information to Dave Christopolis to perhaps do some research and possibly write some grants for them (on their behalf)  for these projects.
